Fairhair welcomes Trilux-ITZ and Runtime as new members

Published on Monday 27 February 2017, by Fairhair Alliance

The Fairhair Alliance is pleased to announce that two companies – ITZ Innovations- und Technologiezentrum GmbH and Runtime Inc. – have joined as Regular members.

The two companies join other leading organizations from the lighting, building automation and IT industries, who aim to facilitate the Internet of Things (IoT) for commercial buildings.

ITZ Innovations- und Technologiezentrum GmbH is part of the TRILUX Group, and is based in Arnsberg, Germany. ITZ operates as an independent company and is a central link between the individual business units of the TRILUX Group. ITZ ensures that trends in the market and future technology are identified in good time and integrated into future product concepts. The basis for successful implementation includes cooperation in international networks, partnerships, associations and standardisation organisations, as well as active participation in research projects.

Runtime Inc. is based in Redwood City, California, USA. Runtime provides device management and monitoring for resource-constrained devices while supporting Apache Mynewt. The emergence of the IoT is proving that anything that can be connected will be connected. Many of these connected devices must be operated for long periods of time, but are constrained in terms of power, memory, and storage. Apache Mynewt flexibly addresses these constraints while remaining agnostic to underlying hardware.
